If you have not heard of the show Grand Designs, which was recently added to NetFlix in 2017. Do yourself a favor and start the show with the County Derry episode from 2014 that features architect Patrick Bradley from Northern Ireland.

For those of us in the United States, Grand Designs is a new obsession thanks to NetFlix adding 2 seasons in Spring of 2017. For those based in the UK, the show covers 16 full seasons. Originally airing in 1999 and host, Kevin McCloud, features a different remarkable piece of daring architecture on each episode.

It’s hard to believe this Grand Designs featured home is constructed out of four shipping containers.
